Corporate social responsibility
Barchester Green Investment actively promotes the value of investing in companies which are making a positive contribution to society and the environment. We also try to live our values in the way we run our own business.

Giving back
Each year we donate 5% of total profits to charities and social enterprise businesses in accordance with three themes: people, animals and the environment.
We donate a minimum of 100 hours per year of adviser and office support time to supporting projects in financial literacy and the provision of financial services to excluded groups.
We give advice to a wide range of social enterprises and charities.
Maintaining independence
Barchester Green Investment is structured as a Partnership, owned and run by our advisers and support staff. This means that all profits are re-invested within the business and all staff and advisers benefit from our continued success. It also means we are not owned by an insurance or investment company, so the advice you receive is truly impartial. Read more about our story here.
Promoting best practise in ethical investment

Press coverage from some of our campaigns
We actively campaign to promote what we see as good practise within ethical investment. For example, we challenge funds which may be labelled as ’ethical‘ but which we believe fall short of good practise in their screening approach.
Environmental commitments
- All of the energy used in our main office is purchased from 100% renewable sources from Good Energy.
- We work hard to reduce waste and use recycled materials in office supplies.
- We operate office waste recycling programmes in all our offices.
Supply chain
We actively source products and services from companies which share our values.
