Amnesty International - Campaigns for internationally-recognised human rights world-wide. Anti-Slavery International - Campaigns for millions of people worldwide who are trapped in situations of slavery or slave-like practices, such as bonded labour. Campaign Against the Arms Trade - Campaigns for the progressive reduction and ultimate abolition of the international arms trade. Centre for Alternative Technology - Aims to inspire, inform and enable people to live more sustainably. Charter 88 - Independent all-party campaign for constitutional reform in the UK. Common Ground - is a charity focusing on positive investment people can make in their own communities, linking the arts and nature. Christian Aid - Helping the developing world to grow out of poverty. Meeting the need where it is greatest, regardless of race or religion. Fairtrade Foundation - Gives a better deal to producers in the third world, circumventing the vagaries of commodity markets. This enables communities to provide good medical and educational facilities through co-operatives and gives upcoming generations the opportunities to move from the peasant subsistence economy. Free Burma - Campaigning for human rights for those living under this repressive military regime. Free Tibet - Campaigning for human rights for those living under Chinese oppression. Friends of the Earth - Aims to protect and improve the conditions for life on earth, now and into the future. Greenpeace - The world's most effective environmental group, dedicated to issues of climate change, protecting ancient forests and marine reserves, etc. Oxfam - a development, advocacy and relief agency, working to put an end to poverty worldwide. UKSIF - The UK Social Investment Forum of which Barchester Green is a founder member. They campaign for ethical investment issues and have many contacts in Parliament. They celebrated their 15th anniversary in 2006, so are just six years younger than us. Ethical funds - Monitor the performance of ethical funds.
